It's analysis of marijuana and society resulted in recommendations that were never acted upon. Most Americans have never heard about it. But now you have. And you can read it too.
Concerning medical marijuana, The American Public Health Association resolves that access to medical marijuana is needed in Resolution 9313: Access to Therapeutic Marijuana/Cannabis passed in November of 1995. It recommended that the government allow the use of marijuana as a medicine immediatly. The APHA is the oldest and largest organization of public health professionals in the world.
On January 11, 1995 in Reno, Nevada, the American Farm Bureau Federation, the largest farming organization in the United States, passed a resolution at its annual convention calling for research that could lead to the re-introduction of hemp into the American farm economy.
I use these examples to show that the experts in our country think hemp should at least be legal for medicinal and industrial purposes.
There are many good reasons we would be better off if we regulate the use of marijuana and call off the war on drugs as well.
