Alcohol used in over the counter medicines

Even children can go in to a grocery store and purchase all sorts of medications that contain this highly addictive and dangerous substance.

They can legally buy Nyquil, which is 50 percent alcohol mixed with acetaminophen, two substances that the FDA has warned about using together.

In fact acetaminophen causes an estimated 7000 deaths a year. Marijuana as a medicine never killed anyone and it's never caused liver failure, kidney damage or bleeding stomachs like many over the counter pills have.

How come we don't hear Lt. Governor Brad Owen on that issue? Could it perhaps be the millions of dollars that the pharmecutical, tobacco and alcohol industry contributes to the WAR ON DRUGS? But then again we are always hearing some new study that says drinking a glass or two is great for the hearts of certain people. It reminds me of something Ben Franklin once said, "there are more old drunks than old doctors"

I read a really cool book by Seattle's own WALT CROWLEY the other day, it's called "rites of passage" here's of my favorite lines in the book: "On St. Valentines day, with money provided by JIMI HENDRIX he anyonomously mailed joints to several thousand randomly selected New Yorkers. One of these was a TV newsman who showed off his gift on his program; police were there in minutes and arrested him on the air for possession."

Nyquil

You're coughing and sneezing. You can't wait to crawl into bed. But first, you have a decision to make. What kind of medicine are you going to take? This time, try Nyquil and get much-needed rest. Then in the morning, you'll feel better. After one night of Nyquil, you'll think it's the best. Vicks Nyquil...the "night time sniffling sneezing coughing aching stuffy head fever so you can rest and have a good morning" medicine.
