SEATTLE - Former Carnation Police Sgt. Susan Holan pleaded guilty
yesterday to two counts of vehicular homicide in an accident on
 Interstate 5 while driving drunk.

Holan, 38, was accused by King County prosecutors of smashing her
car through 13 wooden barriers near Northgate and driving the wrong way,
causing a head-on collision with a northbound pickup.

The driver of the truck, Russell Hunter of Lynnwood, suffered
multiple injuries. His wife, Judith, 53, and her mother, Marjorie
 Schmidt, 75, were killed.

Holan faces a standard sentencing range of about three years in
prison for the convictions, which also include vehicular assault for the
 injuries to Russell Hunter.
