Dear Candidate,

In advance of the 1996 Fall General Election, there will be thousands of pamphlets distributed throughout Washington State entitled Washington State Voters Guide: Your Candidates' Position on Hemp Reform.

The Washington Citizens for Hemp Reform are formally polling candidates in all forty-nine Washington State Legislative Districts to determine their positions on the decriminalization of hemp/marijuana for medicinal, industrial and personal use. The information obtained from this questionnaire will be distributed immediately following the September 17th Primary Election. The Guide will be distributed in pamphlet form, via the Internet, and through notices and articles in numerous publications.

Your participation in this effort is sought to fully inform the voting public about your views on these important issues.
