Domain registration is an additional $25/year (or more or less, see below). A secure certificate ($50/year or more or less, see below) is required.

Discounts. DSL and dialup customers receive a $7 monthly discount on this service. We offer discounts for quarterly (4% discount), semi-annual (8% discount) and annual (16% discount) payments.

Details. SSL-enabled server allows for encrypted transactions, suitable for e-commerce sites. PHP, MySQL, shell access, 50 megs of disk space, web-based email management, 25 email accounts, 25 mailing lists, unlimited aliases and autoresponders, nightly webalizer log analysis.

Secure certificate. Users may obtain their own secure certificates or purchase one through Hemp.Net for $50/year. We register certificates through instantssl.com.

Domain name registration. We recommend our users register their own domains. This has many benefits. It is a better deal, financially. It familiarizes the user with the processes involved with domains names, which allows them to be more self-sufficient in future domain name matters.

You can register a domain name through many, many different registrars. We highly recommend using Gandi, a French registrar with fair pricing (12 euros) and, more importantly, fair policies. (Gandi's contract states that you own your domain name; Verisign believes they own it.) Use the Hemp.Net Gandi ID -- BL135-GANDI -- when Gandi asks you for a technical contact.
